Odessa Red has a passion for exploring ghost towns and researching history. She began Old West re-enacting many years ago at Calico Ghost Town where the sound of creaking boardwalks, miners striking it rich, and the ching of horse harnesses, and wearing period gowns allow her to step back in time!
Odessa created, "Guns of Cajon Pass", a competitive gunfighting group based out of Southern California, as well as "Victorian Muse Theatre" for performing her one of a kind Living History plays. She participates in train robberies, parades, educational programs, senior centers, photo ops, fashion shows, and attends numerous Old West reenactment venues. Odessa travels all over CA, NV, and AZ and has been a regular costumed volunteer, and Hall of Fame member at Calico Ghost Town for many years.
Odessa takes pride in researching the accuracy of her award winning gowns, and some some of her favorite eras include the antebellum, natural form and late bustle period. She portrays such characters such as: Townswoman, Madam, and High Society/Proper Victorian lady..and has several interesting living history personas.
Odessa is very active in her community and served on the 2010 San Bernardino Bicentennial Committee which allowed to honor San Berardino's long history which included the Earp Family who settled there in the 1860s. Odessa is a member of the Reenactment Guild Of America , National Registry of Living Historians, Native Sons of the Golden West, and Pioneer & Historical Society of San Bernardino. She owns her Arabian horse farm and enjoys a career in law enforcement.
Odessa Red is available for local engagements in the surrounding High Desert, Inland Empire, Los Angeles areas, and will travel to the event or filming upon contract.
